Our favorite place to celebrate a special occasion in the area. Delicious food, beautiful location. Perfect for a special occasion!

Overall a very good experience. The food was very good, affordably priced and the waiting staff could not have been nicer. The French onion soup was small but excellent. The chicken parmasean entree was also very good and unlike other reviewers, my salad was excellent. I had the teriyaki beef medalions as per a Yelp recommendation and I would say it was good but not great. Next time I'm in town visiting my Purdue student I'll definitely come back but I think I'll try the filet instead. Note that if you are driving here for the first time it seems MUCH further out of town than you'd think. It is probably only 3 miles or so, but on the narrow country road (S. River rd) driving through the middle of nowhere in the early dark of November we kept thinking the must have missed it. Keep driving, If you're coming from the Purdue campus area it will be clearly visible on the left.

came here for a rehearsal dinner for a wedding. Love this location on the river, with the little outdoor seating. it was stomry so we sat in one of the banquet rooms. They easily and graciously accommodated our large party. They had a small menu with a few choices for this catering/party thing. I chose the dish called McGraw's Chicken. It was a huge chicken breast cooked perfectly. It was smothered in cheese (YAY!) the only thing I didn't like about it was the very vinegary sundried tomatoes. The service was really good. I got the bread pudding for desert which was to die for! my salad had some sort of white and yellow cheese on top (not a fan) and they didn't have any sort of sesame ish dressing. so I got raspberry vinaigrette. Wasn't a fan of that dressing either. Eh. Over all very positive and i'd definitely come back again.

I really liked this place Good wine, good food, good atmosphere, and a better view than I expected, over looking a pond. The Bourbon teriyaki (sp?) beef medallions was the best meal at our table. Don't hesitate to get something else, because the filet was decent too.

Being from Chicago, I've been on the lookout for great places to eat while in Lafayette. This place is amazing with gorgeous river views and friendly staff. Ask for a window seat when you make your reservation. The prime rib is out of this world, and I'm always surprised at how small the bill is for such a great meal.

Several 'locals' said that McGraw's was the best place in town. Well, a few miles out of town. Service = 5 stars Atmosphere = 4 stars Salad = 2 stars Steaks = 1-4 stars, 1-3 stars Drinks = 4 stars Overall = 3 stars Our server was attentive and helpful. She did not mind the many trips to the bar for the DON'T MISS PINEAPPLE MARTINIS and wine. She didn't push anything and brought our courses out in a well timed manner. The salad was too cold, ice burg lettuce with a few spring greens tossed in and the standard onion-tomato-grated cheese topping. The balsamic vinaigrette dressing was good but deserved better than the boring salad. We enjoyed the salmon appetizer. They were out of the toasted bread it came with but did offer crackers which went well with the salmon. The delicate horseradish sauce was a great accompaniment as well as the chopped onion and caper side. The 18 oz. cowboy bone-in steak was perfect. It was 1" thick and medium rare as requested. The 12 oz. New York strip was a little tough but tasty. Ask for ground pepper just to see the GIANT pepper grinder! Skip the loaded potato. The toppings are cold and nothing special. The garlic fries were tasty and subtle. I'd love to return in the summer or earlier in the evening and enjoy the river view. The grounds at McGraws are very pretty, manicured and inviting. The restaurant is lovely and low key. Lots of dark wood, white walls and minimal decorations. It is quite pleasing. Our bill with 4 martinis, 3 wines, 2 steaks and 1 appetizer came to $125 plus tip. A decent price for an okay meal.

McGraw's is a very different restaurant compared to the normal steakhouses of West Lafayette and Lafayette. The restaurant itself sits right on the bank of the Wabash and you can look down at the trees and see the different levels of the rising water marked on the trunks. The menu itself is (as the title suggests) a mix of steak, fish, and similar dishes but with a slightly modern touch. The wine list is very extensive and is rated as one of the best in the area. While McGraw's seems to be unknown to most of the students and parents that travel to Purdue, you should definitely call ahead for reservations because the locals definitely know about it.

Great place for a date or dinner out with the family. Kinda pricey, but then again, the food is great. The view of the river is surprisingly nice, being that its the Wabash. The place is nice inside, and the service is great. I always get their steaks, but friends and family have raved about the Chicken McGraw.

I just stumbled across this place with a friend and decided to try it out. Our servers were attentive and friendly, and the food was great. My steak was overcooked (I ordered medium rare and got medium), but it was yummy nonetheless. The Philly cheese soup was an interesting and welcome change from the soups that I normally get. It wasn't too cheesy, and had tender bites of meat in it. However, I am a huuuugee huge fan of the Jack Daniel's teriyaki tips that I got at the Taste of Tippiecanoe. Those were delightful, succulent, perfectly seasoned cubes of mean that melted in my mouth. I am honestly slightly disappointed that I didn't make it back for seconds because I was too full, so I would go back to McGraw's just to have those again. I went on a weekday night, so I didn't wait for a table, even without a reservation, but I've heard it does get busy on the weekends. However, I noticed that halfway through our meal, the whole restaurant had filled up, so it's better to be safe than sorry and make a reservation. There's plenty of parking available and somewhat secluded, so it makes for quite a nice, relaxing dining environment.

we just went here last night (our 2nd time) and I was equally unimpressed. I got the teriyaki beef tips and they were decent, but everything else was sub par. if you have kids, stay away from the Mac n cheese. I believe it was white cheddar... not a super kid-friendly flavor, in my opinion, and neither my 3 year old nor 1 year old would eat it. they did end up replacing the Mac n cheese with grilled chicken, but it was so peppery. my 3 year old ate some of it, but I don't know if he loved it. stay away from the chicken dish (can't remember what it's called, but it has onions and spinach covered with cheese). my mom got this and felt like they took a chicken breast and dumped anything they could find in the kitchen on it and then melted some cheese on top. the property itself is kind of odd, too. there are several other buildings that we think awe rental apartments or something. lots of people outside smoking, a bunch of random cars, etc. oh, and whatever building is to the east of the restaurant, we saw SQUIRRELS running in and out of it... what in the world! overall, not the worst meal I've ever eaten, but not sure it's worth the $20/plate average.

Dinner at Mcgraws, I have to tell you spectacular! The best steak I've had since coming to Purdue. My parents were in town and I've been dying to try this place, seemed like the perfect opportunity. So glad I did. Like I said best steak I've had in Lafayette, my mother loved the pasta special and well me and my father had the same opinion on our dinners. Great service and nice atmosphere on the deck. Loved the sound of the water while we enjoyed our dinner. Quality desserts. We will be back, thanks for a great experience.

We have visited McGraws a handful of times so I think we have a good idea of what they offer. Overall, it's decent. Nothing special, certainly for the price. Most recently dined there for our anniversary. It was on a Friday, we did get a reservation for 6:30 just to be safe. The restaurant wasn't necessarily busy, so it was nice and quite for a little while. The waitress was nice, but not friendly or talkative. She didn't explain any specials or even ask if we had been there before. Just simply, "do you know what you'd like?" When we got our shrimp cocktail, the parts of the shrimp that are supposed to be white were yellowed. They were very dry and didn't taste fresh at all...not what you'd expect for $12.00. As the waitress brought our salads, she just sat them in the table and pretty much walked away. I noticed other servers offered fresh cracked black pepper for salads, which I always appreciate. Now the steak arrived, I ordered a New York strip medium and a loaded baked potato. Let's just say the potato was the best part. The steak, albeit a nice cut, was slightly over done for my taste and just very bland. Didn't appear to have hardly any seasoning, so like I said, kind of tasteless. Agaun, not what you expect for $24. Lastly, we did do desert and it was pretty good. Key lime pie and an apple tart. We got the last bit of our meal to go. I just find it almost comical that the to go containers are the cheapest styrofoam you can buy, and bagged up with the same bags you'd get at your local convenience store / gas station. You get much nicer stuff at an Olive Garden. Overall, a decent experience, but not worth the money in my opinion.

Very impressed by the quality of the steak! I'm a steak lover and most of the time had great steak in NYC. I had tried two other steak houses in this area, and McGraw's definitely is the best. I must say the chef could easily double the price of the steak if he/she sells it in Manhattan. So tender, juicy, and flavorful! Wonderful steaks! We ordered their specials of the day, but I will give their regulars a try next time :)

We made reservations for an early Mothers Day dinner on Friday. I got the prime rib special with garlic Yukon mashed potatoes and a Bloody Mary. My wife ordered the honey bourbon salmon and for an appetizer we tried the cheese tray. From the first bite from the cheese tray to the last drops of my bloody Mary, this was a delicious experience. I can't imagine anything on the menu not being excellent. The prime rib and salmon were some of the best I have had in a long time and the prices are resonable for the quality you get. Request a table facing the river, it is a nice view and change of pace.

Haven't had a good steak in a while so me and my girlfriend decided to check out McGraw's because we had heard good things from some friends. Turns out they were right! I got a new york strip and it was wonderfully done. My girlfriend who doesn't like steak took a bite and said it was delicious, so now we're going to have to come back so she can order one for herself! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the whole vibe of the restaurant. My only complaint is that we had to wait for at least 20 minutes to get my credit card back after giving it to the waitress.

As a person who's been to quite a few of the 'Top 20' steakhouses in America, this restaurant is very solid for the Lafayette/W. Lafayette area. Indeed, it is probably THE BEST (in the region). The food here beats the 'haute cuisine' of Bistro 501 any day. I recommend both the seafood and the steaks (surf & turf). The location is idyllic. It's like an oasis in the (sometimes) industrial wasteland of W. Lafayette/Lafayette. The cabin architecture and rustic feel is very comforting. The waterfront view is splendid. If you want to take your wife on a romantic date, or need a restaurant to host a dinner party, I definitely recommend McGraw's.

Unfortunately, our experience was very similar to the complaints of poor service and poor cooking of steaks (unless you want well done). And like many others, the attitude of how dare you point out that your steak was over cooked. I can't remember ever having a steak so far off that I complained, but over cooked and served at room temp???? Most frustrating was that the appetizers, salads and other food tasted good, just not worth the overall frustration. Hopefully they get these issues fixed, would love a great steakhouse in the area and they could really do well if corrected.

This place is hit or miss. I had a small wedding and took my guests here after the ceremony. I was hoping to avoid crappy wedding food and left embarrassed. Food serving times were horrendous. 20 mins for an appetizer another 20 for a salad and 40 minutes on entrees. We were the first seating on a Friday. Unacceptable. Once the entrees finally arrived every person noticed their food was room temperature-Not even a hint of warm and not only the steaks but the side items as well. Most everyone waited to see if the server would be able to rectify the situation once she came back to see how everything was. After 15 minutes she did come back. 2 people in my group had already finished their cold steaks after becoming impatient. My husband did not touch his food and asked to speak with a manager. After another 10 minutes the server from the next table over came and explained that she checked with the kitchen who said our food wasn't sitting back there so she didn't know how our food was cold. She asked if we wanted our food warmed up nearly 30 minutes after receiving it...Ughhh...really!?!? Add insult to injury. After finishing, receiving our checks and paying took another 25 minutes. We were offered 50% off of the entrees. My husband had to pay for his meal that he did not even eat. The embarrassment and dissatisfaction of the meal alone was not worth any discount we received. If you do choose to eat at McGraws, you better hope they get it right the first time because "management" is clearly not versed in handling what is supposed to be 'finer dining' service. In the future, we will not be trusting the experience at McGraws to be worthy of taking guests there.

This is (with out question) the worst steak house I have ever been to in my 54 years. The restaurant botched my reservation. If I did not like to dine at the bar, my only choice was to dine on the patio. That was an excellent choice... except there was a stray cat that wanted to rub it self at my feet. When I asked about the cat I was told by my server "Is the cat going to bother you?" "Yes: I am allergic". I thought there was a rule about stray cats and restaurants in Indiana? Upon removal of the stray cat. I ordered a porterhouse special medium rare; my wife; the filet medium. My porterhouse was served WELL DONE as was my wife's filet! My server was no where to be found. I had to leave my table to find the hostess. Why did I leave my table? Because there were people standing along the driveway waiting to take my table. I asked the hostess to please send the manager out to see how overcooked our food was. THE MANAGER REFUSED. Instead my server was sent back out to witness two steaks that contained no pink color what so ever. I chose to upset (those waiting for my table) by asking for another steak. Had I known they would return with a blue steak that was not even rare, I would have asked for the check. When I asked about he manager I was told by my server: SHE IS BUSY WAITING ON TABLES. It has been more that 20 years gone by that I have asked for a steak to be replaced. I have never ever asked to speak to a manager before Saturday, and I have never heard that a manager was too busy to talk to a upset guest. They are clearly unable or lack the management skills to run a Chop house. The chef was clearly unable to cook up to the needs of the restaurant. To over cook a steak at a table, happens, to overcook 2 at the same table; tells me that the chef cant handle a dinner service. The fact that the manager was waiting on tables tells me there are staffing issues. The fact that the manager could not come to personally apologize shows a complete lack of professionalism. Offering me a free chocolate desert....eh.This not what I asked for (or wanted). I asked to speak to a manager; not a server, hostess or cook. I WANTED NOTHING GIVEN TO ME FOR FREE. That is why I blog tonight. I used to dine here when it was called Stiney's. It is cute, romantic and quaint. It has the atmosphere to make it a 4 star restaurant. This management team has to go . They cannot handle a busy dinner service. They have staffing issues and you the customer will pay for it in dinner service. If you wish to dine there your chance may be better after the dinner rush or a slow Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday. At the end of the day, I gladly paid my 20 % (because I cant fault my server) over food the chef cant prepare. I just can't do that. This is why I have given so much of my life to write the one (and hopefully my only) negative blog on a restaurant. You can have the best setting, menu, and staff, but if you cant manage a busy dinner service, cant cook what your guests order, cant fix your mistakes, cant acknowledge your upset guests. What is it that you are known for? Salad? If you want a great steak that will remain in your memory for years, (and have garden views unlike any restaurant I have eaten). Make the effort to drive to Covington and eat at the Beef House. They know how to cook steaks and the staff makes sure you are happy with your order.

Will never return, ever...was praying for a good meal because my wife and I had family in from out of town but we were beyond disappointed. When our food arrived it was at room temperature, all of it, steak was cold, sides were cold, it was obvious that our food had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. When our waitress finally made it back to the table we explained that 8 of 8 meals were cold and we wanted to speak to a manager...about 10 minutes later the waitress from the table next to us came to the table claiming to be the manager, said she had no idea why our food was cold and basically blew us off saying she would see what she could do and walked away...see what she could do? I'm sorry but if you're the manager you know what you can do and you do it. About 30 minutes later our waitress comes back and said they were gonna give us half off our steaks...not off our bill, just off the steaks...so I had to pay for half of a steak I didn't eat and told them to throw away. The "manager" never even had the nerve to come back to the table. The situation was handled incorrectly from start to finish...it's one thing to mess up an order but then to just ignore the situation is ridiculous...Mcgraws claims to be the premiere steak and chop place in the area but proved to me they are still in the amateur league with their ability to handle situations with dissatisfied customers...I had go to Wendy's on the way home so I could finally eat dinner thanks to the incompetence that is mcgraws

Pretty decent find for the area. Steak was cooked perfectly and even had enough for leftovers. I was too stuffed to try the desserts but other people in our group did and enjoyed it. Place is in the middle of no where so easy to miss when driving down that road if you arent familiar with the area

I am leaving two stars because the service we received was what you should get at a restaurant. Our waitress's Gabby and she was very busy but was prompt. There was only one busser and he filled our water continually. Now to the actual food. We ordered the firecracker shrimp and that was tasty $12. It was fair portion for an appetizer. I would recommend that. My wife got the McGraw Chicken and I got the ribeye. When we received our entrees we noticed that my wife's play was smothered in cheese. (Side note: SHES FROM WISCONSIN.) It was so coated that she could barely eat it. It appeared to be like they wanted to hide the chicken! The ribeye was probably the worst I've ever had. It was dry, under seasoned, and tough. I personally could and have made better at home esp for $27. My wife and I shared a dessert and we grabbed one for our son to go. The bill was $96 including the tip. We normally don't spend any where close to that. However, we don't mind it if the food is worth it and tonight it was not worth it. I could have gone to Indianapolis for that kind of money and got a 5 star restaurant! Signed First timer and only timer

The food and service were great. Portions were generous and it definitely helps when a restaurant that is a little more pricey doesn't gouge you on the alcohol menu. The best steak house in Lafayette.

got a table right on the river, very attentive service, and they have kids menus! I had the teriyaki tips and my aunt had steak, my baby had chicken fingers and the linguine. Loved the food, the teriyaki tips were perfectly medium and the chicken fingers were HUGE. We had the bread pudding for dessert and it was perfect.

south river pork chop - thick, juicy, with bacon around the edges $23 house salad w/ bleu cheese was superb with big chunks of bleu cheese $0.50 warm bread with whipped sweet butter - a delight generous portion of grilled salmon $21 rustic apple tart spongy crust, too few apples, flavor was good $9 can't beat the view overlooking the river at sunset not on the menu but overheard that it was possible to order 1/2 portion of the gigantic appetizer sampler platter decaf at the end of the meal was a nice way to wrap things up $3, outdoor seating available difficult to view from the road, no sign on the side of the road, easy to miss well staffed and excellent service, a same-day reservation was available for an early week day dinner. at the time of the visit and of this writing, the online menu was not entirely representative of what is available at the restaurant both in selection and prices.

Enjoyed McGraws for the first time on Saturday. Food was spot on, salads, apps, steak, well poured cocktails. Server was a little forgetful but the food made up it. We'll be back!

In west lafayette, this is about as good as it gets. I've been here now on two occasions. Both times were great. Dining on the shores of the wabash is awesome! I'm baffled that there aren't more restaurants in west lafayette overlooking the river. My one complaint would be that the service is slow. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place if you are in a hurry. My wife's steak was a bit overcooked, especially for rare. Our server actually mentioned he was concerned about this when serving. but given the wait, she couldn't justify sending it back. I will be back to mcgraw's. It was nice to see that they serve walleye and catfish. I would like to think these were caught straight from wabash outside the back door, but that probably isn't the case. I'd like to order these next time, but it would be so hard not to get a steak. An indiana surf and turf might be nice menu item.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant. It is located in a residential/country area on the banks of the wabash river in what looks like an old house/barn. The interior is very nice, cherry wood furniture. The walls facing the river/forest are all glass, a very nice view especially in the winter/spring with snow and ice. I have been here multiple times, and have not been disappointed. It is usually somewhat busy so make sure to get reservations. The best meal I had here was a chipotle filet mignon. It was on special and not served all the time, but it was AMAZING. Their jack daniels steak tips are also another great item on the menu.

We went here for my boyfriend's birthday and boy was it disappointing. We got there at sunset and the view was amazing by the windows which is the only redeeming part of the experience. We ordered the beef tips and a steak. The salad came and was freezing cold, like it had just come out of a freezer. It took forever to get our drinks. The steak was really tough and overcooked. He asked for it medium and it came back almost well done. The beef tips were fine, but I had gone there because I specifically knew they were good from Taste of Tippecanoe. We told them it was my boyfriends birthday and they didn't do anything special for him at all, didn't even ask me if they should sing happy birthday. Overall, not worth the money we spent on it. I would recommend if you want a fancy meal in town to go to Bistro 501 in town, not here.

Didn't care for the loud crowded atmosphere on a Friday night. Got seated right in front of the front door. I had expected spectacular food but it was average. Service met expectations but wasn't as good as some of the reviews had prepped me for.

  • Ethan H.

The view was beautiful, the prices were fair, and the place itself has a nice aesthetic. But our server was a bit pushy and the food, while not bad, didn't rise to the same standards as the interior design. The do have People's IPA on tap, however, which is a huge plus. My only advice would be: (1) Don't expect too much from the salad. Iceberg lettuce isn't exactly special anywhere, and McGraw's's wasn't particularly fresh. And (2) don't get pushed into ordering an appetizer just because your server wants you to. In our case, it was a so-so portabello mushroom. But what really tipped us off to trouble was the fact that it came out less than a full minute after we ordered it. To her credit, our server did admit (after we asked about it) that the portabello appetizers are pre-assembled and only need to be heated up. But (a) that's not exactly a recipe for freshness and (b) it goes some way towards explaining why the staff would be so enthusiastic about pushing these items in the first place.

The last time I dined here was ages ago when it was called Stiney's. Now it's called McGraws and the experience is wonderful. The restaurant is located literally on the banks of the Wabash River. You can sit outside on the patio if the weather permits, but most tables inside have a full view of the river through large windows. We sat next to the windows and had a great view of the river. For large parties, you can start with the variety appetizer plate that includes teriyaki beef tips, chicken tenders, and stuffed mushrooms sitting on a bed of onion straw. I had the catfish fillets (a carryover from the Stiney's era, and they are called Stiney's Catfish Fillets). They were huge! The entrees come with a nice selection of sides including soup of the day. I had the corn chowder and it was worth it. Entree prices are mid-ranged - from $20-30 and the portions are tremendous. The grilled salmon ordered by some dinner companions has a glaze that is out of this world. Tables have real linens and the service is top notch. Worth the trip down South River Road and worth the price for a great meal.

Probably the best Steakhouse in the area. The food is top notch and the atmosphere is classy. Great place to go for a date or if you are wiling to spend a good amount of money. Anytime I've gone my meal has been covered by someone else which probably helps to increase my enjoyment. I also like that it is somewhat off the beaten path.

I recently visited McGraw's for dinner for a club function. I must say, it gets a lot of hype, most of it deservedly so. McGraw's is quite nice inside, but not in a stodgy, stuffy sort of manner like some restaurants. There is a full bar and outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Granted, they weren't extremely busy, but the service, especially for a party of 11, was fantastic. The food: we were eating on someone elses dime, so we did the whole spread; appetizers, full entrees, and deserts. For appetizers we selected the calamari, shrimp cocktail, and stuffed protabello mushrooms. The calamari was standard but tasty none the less. The mushroom was quite delicious although I thought it was a bit tough and only one portabello cap was included in each order. Finally, the shrimp cocktail was great. The sauce was spicy and the shrimp were unbelievably large and cooked perfectly; I would definitely recommend that one. The salads are good as well. For my entree I ordered the salmon with a honey bourbon glaze. It was one of the best cooked pieces of fish I've had; skin crispy and flesh incredibly tender. The piece of fish would have been great on its own, but the not-too-sweet bourbon glaze really put it over the top. Also the winter mix vegetables were a perfect accompaniment. Finally, I had the turtle cheesecake for desert. It was served a bit warmer than I prefer my cheesecake, but the flavor was decadent. Rich caramel with giant chunks of walnuts strewn throughout the creamy cheesecake. (Definitely killed the healthy theme I had going, but worth it.) All in all, McGraw's is a nice place for a special occasion, and I would definitely like to come back.

Disappointed with the reservation service at this restaurant - I was excited to try it when some family members were in town for a special occasion, so called to make reservations. However, they are only open from 5-10pm so I got the voicemail, which instructed me to leave a message with my name, party size, and date/time requested. This was about 2 weeks before my desired date. The voicemail said that I would get a call confirming my reservation. I never got a call, so about a week before my reservation I called again during their open hours to confirm that I was on their books. Sadly, my reservation was not noted and they didn't have room for my party of 5 on their reservation list for the night I wanted, so we'll be going elsewhere. Bummer.

Attention to detail. Great service and ambience. We went here for our wedding anniversary. Each ate off the list of specials: red snapper in white wine sauce with capers and prime rib with mash potato's with white truffle. Started with the crab cake appetizer with remoulade. Scrumptious. The salad a nice mix of greens, and their balsamic house dressing was great. The bread was warm, served with whipped honey butter, and even the bread plates brought with it were warm. The snapper was cooked perfectly. The prime rib was seasoned just right - not too much salt like at some places and it barely needed chewing, it was so tender. For dessert, shared the apple dumpling topped with vanilla bean ice cream. Our waitress was very attentive but discreet, and whisked away finished plates almost unnoticeably. No course overlapped the other to make us feel rushed, nor did we have to wait - perfect timing. First class!

We arrived without reservations on a Friday night and the place was packed! Rather than wait an hour for a table, especially for one with a view of the river, we dined in the bar which worked out fine. Our server was attentive and prompt. Entrees come with a petite dinner salad and choice of one side. I ordered the ribeye which was flavorful and cooked as requested (medium). The vegetable of the day was glazed carrots. For some reason, I was thinking they'd be done like "Pennies from Heaven" , sliced carrots with a cinnamon glaze. Nope. What I was served were baby carrots, slightly soggy and overcooked. The glaze was a watery syrup and not very flavorful. My honey ordered the top sirloin with a pepper crust. His steak was also cooked to order (medium rare). The pepper crust was indeed that, chunks of pepper covering the top of the steak. Tasty, but a bit too peppery for me. He ordered the loaded baked potato and it was. Loaded with bacon, tomato, sour cream and chives. A heart attack in the potato! Our server brought out the dessert tray. We had the raspberry creme brulee which was very tasty and the key lime pie which was just OK. McGraw's prides themselves on their wine list. It looked extensive. There was one odd, nearly rude moment. We were visiting with a friend who knows the owner who cam over to greet our friend. He was introduced to me and the honey as well. Saying hello, he excused himself. He later came back with a snifter of a brandy or other liquor. He sets it down in front of our friend and says "I think you might like this." and leaves. Huh? I was treating our friend, we had finished dinner, so I think the owner may have known we'd spent over $100 for three people. Not offering myself or my honey something too just struck me as borderline rude. If I lived here, I'd think twice before going back.
